Lehigh Line (Conrail) : ウィキペディア英語版 | Lehigh Line (Conrail)
The Conrail Lehigh Line is a railroad line in the state of New Jersey operated as part of the North Jersey Shared Assets Area. It runs from Newark to Manville along the former main line of the Lehigh Valley Railroad. At CP Port Reading in Manville, the CSX Transportation (ex-Reading Railroad) Trenton Subdivision splits southward, and the Lehigh Valley-built tracks continues as the Norfolk Southern Lehigh Line. The line shares track with New Jersey Transit's Raritan Valley Line between Newark and Aldene Junction, and then parallels it closely between Bridgewater and Bound Brook. The line is double-track and signaled through its entire length. It makes a roughly parallel—but sometimes diverging—route to the former Central Railroad of New Jersey's Raritan Valley Line, running to the south of that line.〔1941 system route map for Central Railroad of New Jersey, indicating routes of Lehigh Valley Railroad and other railroads. http://mapmaker.rutgers.edu/HISTORICALMAPS/RAILROADS/Central_RR_1941.jpg〕 ==Gallery==
